As Bamboo is the part and parcel of the culture and tradition of Assam as well as North East and is among the most abundantly available plants of the region, Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshera has decided to establish a North East Bamboo Information Centre at its campus to explore the various aspects of utilizing bamboo as a major potential resource of the North East India. The said centre will be established with support from other concerned agencies.Honourable Chief Minister of Assam Sri Tarun Gogoi has laid the foundation stone of this project on 18th January 2010.
